We are currently looking for a Community Engagement Team Lead at one of our Saskatchewan bases in the Foundation department.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of STARS identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift sponsorships for the Foundation in Saskatchewan, including but not limited to:

  • Leadership of Internal Events, planning, evaluation, fundraising;
  • Work with current event partners to further develop and build upon existing events;
  • Grow the community engagement and external events portfolio;
  • Represent STARS, to donors and the public, building support and awareness for STARS in Saskatchewan;
  • Have a good understanding of SLGA and CRA guidelines to facilitate license applications;
  • Ensure that community partners are adhering to STARS policies and guidelines, in accordance with STARS branding, provincial gaming and CRA guidelines;        
  • Assist in developing sponsorship guides for internal events;
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies for internal and external events when needed;
  • Create and maintain event budget requirements;
  • Create event tracking and updating;
  • Write briefing notes and event summaries.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of four years working in a non-profit development related role with at least one year directly related solicitation experience at the major gift level;
  • Experience with Raisers Edge/ or other relational databases;
  • Demonstrated track record in soliciting major gifts from corporations, foundations and individuals;
  • Proficient project management skills;
  • Experienced public speaker;
  • Proficient in MS office;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
