We are currently looking for a Director, Development for Alberta at our Calgary base in the Foundation department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of STARS annual development program including but not limited to:
  • Collaborating with Foundation Leadership to create short-, medium- and long-term strategies.
  • Creating and leading the execution of a comprehensive annual business plan managing budgets.
  • Utilizing third party data to develop donor profiles for improved donor centered communications.
• Lead the Development team which includes responsibilities of hiring, onboarding and developing strong talent.
• Partner and collaborate with the broader Foundation team to execute on a best practice fundraising program that includes cross-provincial fundraising programs for donor relates and development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 12 years in progressive fund development or sales experience including at least 3 years at a Director level, with a demonstrated record of success in all aspects of the annual program fundraising.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related education and business experience.
• Multi-channel marketing experience in a consumer retail or packaged goods environment with demonstrated success in all aspects of customer relationship management (CRM)
• Ability to travel across Western Canada; willingness to work flexible hours.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
• CFRE considered an asset
