We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor at our Calgary base in the Finance department.

While you may not be flying the helicopter or providing patient care, as a member of STARS’ Finance team, you will play an important role in STARS’ life-saving mission. Be part of something bigger. Be part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Accounts Payable Operations
• Manage Vendor Accounts & Payments
• Perform Financial Close & Reporting Activities
• Oversee Tax & Compliance Processes
• Maintain Processes, Controls & Documentation

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Diploma or Degree)
• 5–8 years of progressive accounts payable or accounting experience in high-volume, multi-location environments
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience within Accounts Payables
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable and vendor management
• Experience with general ledger reconciliations and month-end close
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capability
• Ability to identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and resolve them proactively
• Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset
