Communications Manager - Maternity Leave (14 month term)

We are currently looking for a Communications Manager, maternity leave coverage, at our Calgary base in the Marketing and Communications (MarComms) department.

While you may not be flying the helicopter or providing patient care, as a member of STARS’ MarComms team, you will play an important role in STARS’ life-saving mission. Be part of something bigger. Be part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead external and internal communication plans with clear KPIs, strategies and tactics
  • Intake needs and develops communication plans for specific projects and initiatives to move forward STARS’ mission and strategy
  • Provide media relations and communication strategy to Foundation team, including stewardship, donor relations and events

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a similar role, with at least 3 years leading people
  • Proven experience in building communication plans and executing them successfully, media relations, crisis communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or other related field
